Up and Running with Flutter

Interested in Dart and/or Flutter? Or just interested in app development in 2017? You should give Flutter a try.

It only takes a few minutes (mostly downloading programs and setting up the dev environment) before I had an app running locally on my device that looked good. Dirt simple, but what else do you expect from a few minutes work.

The highlight: theĀ hot reload function, which lets me change code and update my app in milliseconds, without losing my state data. This is a gift for someone like me who’s been working on applications without users that run for 24 hours at a time.
